Why have an Organic Facial with energy work?

I am told often that I give the best facial on Salt Spring Island. I am sharing this not because those are my words but because, others care to tell me regularly. I have clients that book their annual break on the island and before they arrive, they book their session with me. Some have been coming every year for 18 years!! So when clients share their feedback, I take it in.

What I began here at Figs & Honey many years ago, at the time, was so unique. Marketing advisers told me that the two don't marry at all and I am giving a confused message to people. Either you are an aesthetician or an energy healer? Pick one!!

It's unthinkable to me that the two are separated. Firstly, our skin is the outer expression of so many issues that are going on in the body. Hormones, stress, anger, worry, diet and the like, all dis-regulate our body and create inbalances in our micro biome and digestive system. Subsequently acne, dry skin, premature wrinkles, hyper pigmentation, Rosacea, eczema amongst many other skin issues, all start in the body, not on the surface. Heal the inside and the outside takes care of itself. With a little help changing the diet, changing skin care products that are hormone disruptive or chemical laden, and clearing emotions and stress from the body. Magic can happen. Changing ones mindset is key too. That's when EFT (emotional freedom technique) works so well.

Everything is energy, so why would they not be integrated? This is not wooo wooo but science. I learned to shift energy over 25 years ago. I started by learning Reiki to support my children to be their healthiest selves. I had no intention of making a living out of it. Along the way, I have learned many modalities that shift energy. Energy in the body, energy in the mind and energy in the spirit. Sound healing, therapeutic touch, Bowen Therapy, mindset coaching using EFT tapping, are just a few modalities that I integrate in my Healing Arts Centre. As I learned to read energy and move energy, my treatments evolved and grew.

So, when someone books a Figs & Honey Organic Facial, they also get all the gorgeous, organic, whole food and therapeutic skin care products, which are all healing and fully alive with good energy. All locally made. I have carried them for 18 years now! Then if they care to participate in calming their minds, practice lowering their cortisol levels, start balancing their hormones, it all starts to shift. I guide clients with breath work, a deep gentle meditation, energy work and perform a facial while they are in their most relaxed , receiving state of being. I get intuitive guidance which I share, that is different for each client. Does it make a difference? Ask my clients, read my reviews. It absolutely changes a functional process into a magical experience. Deep healing, deep peace and deep rest. How do we heal? When all those three components align. I give clients tools to take home to support themselves and continue their healing journey.

Human touch and connection is the ultimate in healing. No gadget, or electric machine can replace intentional, skilled touch by a human that cares and is passionate and experienced with their craft. We FEEL the difference. People need connection to flourish and AI can not give that basic human need. So a hands on, healing facial is not just functional, it's not just beautifying and healing of the skin, it creates an environment for connection. An honest conversation, a chat about how a client is dong in their life in that moment. What aches and pains do they have, what worries are holding them captive? What is happening for them with their hormones? From there, I craft a facial that supports their highest wellbeing.

How do clients respond? .... "Lisa, I feel like I am floating, when I leave here". "Lisa, when I come to you it's the best therapy I have ever had". "Lisa, what you do is magic, its the best facial on Salt Spring, you are magic".

I am humbled, I am grateful. I act as a conduit, drawing universal energy and have learned to trust the process. I read energy, I read underneath a persons pain, and help sooth them to a beautiful calm place. Needless to say, I offer therapy without the facial, but this topic today, is about my facials!!!

This is the future of aesthetics. This is the future of all hands on care. We are all energetic beings, impacted by all that is happening around us and thoughts that are running through our minds. We just need a little tender loving care, a little guidance in how to manage our energy and hopefully we can return to calm.
